{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-423.445","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 423.445","heading":"Application of Uniform Electronic Transactions Act.","body":"(1) KRS 423.300 to 423.455 are to be construed and applied in a manner consistent\nwith KRS 369.101 to 369.120. In accordance with KRS 369.105, nothing in KRS\n423.300 to 423.455 shall affirmatively require any person to create, generate, send,\ncommunicate, rece ive, store, or otherwise process or use electronic records or\ncomplete a transaction using electronic means, and in accordance with KRS\n369.118, nothing shall require any governmental agency to send and accept\nelectronic records and electronic signatures t o and from other persons, or to\notherwise create, generate, communicate, store, process, use, and rely upon\nelectronic records and electronic signatures, except as may be otherwise required by\nlaw.\n(2) A requirement that a record or a signature associated with a record be notarized,\nacknowledged, verified, witnessed, or made under oath is satisfied by a paper\nprintout of an electronic record bearing an electronic signature of the person\nauthorized to perform that act and all other information required to be  included\npursuant to KRS 369.111.\n(3) In accordance with KRS 369.118, a governmental agency that accepts paper\nprintouts of electronic records may establish rules, procedures, or requirements\ngoverning this acceptance.","path":["KRS Chapter 423"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=49518","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:41Z","sha256":"c26bd458bf6dfb5ffa95f8d2bc27409ac589179c558b0863d5fb58cbaac2948d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-423.440","next":"us-ky/krs-423.450"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
