{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-424.195","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 424.195","heading":"Supplementation of printed notice by broadcast in certain cases.","body":"(1) Any official of the Commonwealth of Kentucky or any of its political subdivisions\nwho is required by law to publish any legal notice or notice of event may\nsupplement, not to exceed twelve (12) publications unless otherwise ordered by a\ncourt of competent jurisdiction thereof by use of radio or television spot\nannouncements, or both, when, in his judgment, the public interest will be served\nthereby; except, that notices by political subdivisions may be made only by stations\nhaving a broadcast studio within the county of origin of the legal notice, and that\nbroadcast notices shall call attention solely to published or posted notices required\nby statute.\n(2) Each radio or television station broadcasting a legal notice or notice of event shall\nfor a period of t hree (3) months subsequent to such broadcast retain at its office a\ncopy of the transcript of the text of the notices actually broadcast and such shall be\navailable for public inspection.\n(3) The radio or television station which broadcasts the legal notic e authorized by this\nsection shall be entitled to receive payment of an amount equal to the customary\ncharges of such station for such service.\n(4) The publication of legal notices under this section shall be restricted to legal notices\nrelating to those o fficial acts of public officers requiring a final determination by\norder of any court of competent jurisdiction in the Commonwealth.","path":["KRS Chapter 424"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=18256","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:41Z","sha256":"33f9a393cd39a54865c69bca571e497d8b689361e7e5d896ab21ef019f4ae057","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-424.190","next":"us-ky/krs-424.200"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
