{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-424.290","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 424.290","heading":"Publication of ballots and supplementary material.","body":"(1) Not less than three (3) days before any primary or regular election the county clerk\nshall cause to be published in a newspaper a copy of the ballots or supplementary\nmaterial on which appear the names of candidates or issues to be voted upon.\nWhere the lists of candidates or issues to be voted upon differ for various precincts\nwithin the county, the county clerk shall cause to be published only one (1) set of\ndata with appropriate notations showing the differences in the various precincts. If\nsupplemental paper ballots have been approved as provided in KRS 118.215, the\nsupplemental paper ballot shall be published at the same time as other material\nrequired to be published by this subsection. The cost of publication shall be paid by\nthe county, except that t he cost of publishing any voting data required to be\npublished by this subsection that is limited to a city election or a district election\nother than a school district election shall be paid by the city or the district as the\ncase may be.\n(2) \"Copy,\" as u sed in subsection (1) of this section, means a summary of candidates\nand issues to be voted upon showing all the pertinent information that will appear,\nupon which the voters will cast their votes at a particular polling place.","path":["KRS Chapter 424"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=51710","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:41Z","sha256":"f90bfa03b390d66f531b2c68339ee76eec87475de14b466ad451c02b2ea310bb","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-424.280","next":"us-ky/krs-424.300"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
