{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-425.071","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 425.071","heading":"Prohibitions by temporary restraining order.","body":"In the discretion of the judicial officer, the temporary restraining order may prohibit the\ndefendant from doing any of the following:\n(a) Transferring any interest in the property by sale, pledge, or grant of security\ninterest, or otherwise disposing of or encumbering, the property. If the\nproperty is farm products held for sale or lease or is inventory, the order may\nnot prohibit the defendant from transferring the property in the ordinary\ncourse of business, but the order may impose appropriate restrict ions on the\ndisposition of the proceeds from such transfer.\n(b) Concealing or otherwise removing the property in such a manner as to make it\nless available to seizure by the levying officer.\n(c) Impairing the value of the property either by acts of destruction or by failure to\ncare for the property in a reasonable manner.","path":["KRS Chapter 425"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=18308","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:42Z","sha256":"b05e41b7c789cb793d2a8b01e4df900c93869b516060c9ca482e645a641ab141","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-425.070","next":"us-ky/krs-425.075"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
