{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-425.600","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 425.600","heading":"Appointment of receiver -- Appeal from order appointing or refusing to","body":"appoint -- Powers of receiver.\n(1) On the motion of any party to an action who shows that he has, or probably has, a\nright to, a lien upon, or an interest in, any property or fund,  the right to which is\ninvolved in the action, and that the property or fund is in danger of being lost,\nremoved or materially injured, the court may appoint a receiver, or order the master\ncommissioner to take charge of the property or fund during the pen dency of the\naction, and may order and coerce the delivery of it to him.  The order of a court\nappointing or refusing to appoint a receiver, shall be deemed a final order for the\npurpose of an appeal; Provided, that such order shall not be superseded.\n(2) The receiver or master commissioner has, under the control of the court, power to\nbring and defend actions, respecting the property, to take and keep possession of the\nproperty, to receive rents, collect debts and generally to do such acts respecting the\nproperty as the court may authorize.\n(3) Any income accruing during the pendency of proceedings under this section shall\nfollow the property upon final disposition of the case.","path":["KRS Chapter 425"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=18427","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:43Z","sha256":"60b3e40d032c213519ccd3ac7b4c740b6ef4c7ec3c855579a6fdaf7e26555f79","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-425.526","next":"us-ky/krs-426.005"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
