{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-431.017","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 431.017","heading":"Appearance bond of prosecuting witness.","body":"A judge, trial commissioner, or other officer issuing an arrest warrant based upon the\ntestimony or allegations of a prosecuting witness may require the witness to post a bond\nin favor of the Commonwealth to secure the attendance of that witness in court i n all\nmatters relating to that particular arrest warrant. The amount of the bond shall be twenty -\nfive dollars ($25). In the event that the prosecuting witness fails to appear and does not\npresent valid reason therefor, the trial court shall order the forfe iture of the bond.
