{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-431.595","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 431.595","heading":"Assessment of repayment ordered as cost -- Time of repayment -- Court","body":"clerk's duties.\n(1) Upon an order to repay a reward or part of a reward under KRS 431.590, the court\nshall assess this cost against the defendant in the same manner as other costs o f\nprosecution are assessed against a defendant. The court shall order the defendant to:\n(a) Pay the entire amount required when sentence is pronounced; or\n(b) Pay the entire amount required at a later date specified by the court.\n(2) After receiving a paym ent from a person ordered to make the payment under this\nsection, the clerk of the court shall:\n(a) Make a record of the payment;\n(b) Forward the payment to the designated crime stoppers organization; and\n(c) Record the forwarding of the payment.","path":["KRS Chapter 431"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=18647","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:46Z","sha256":"87ebb615a3193fe95f881703684de31fe0588325c979f11d9bb3a75221e8cb0d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-431.590","next":"us-ky/krs-431.597"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
