{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-431.650","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 431.650","heading":"Kentucky Multidisciplinary Commission on Child Sexual Abuse.","body":"(1) The Kentucky Multidisciplinary Commission on Child Sexual Abuse is hereby\ncreated.\n(2) The commission shall be composed of the following members:\n(a) The commissioner of the Department for Community Based Services or a\ndesignee;\n(b) The commissioner of the  Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental\nand Intellectual Disabilities or a designee;\n(c) One (1) social service worker who is employed by the Department for\nCommunity Based Services to provide child protective services, who shall be\nappointed by the secretary of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services;\n(d) One (1) therapist who provides services to sexually abused children, who shall\nbe appointed by the secretary of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services;\n(e) The commissioner of the Department of Kentucky State Police or a designee;\n(f) One (1) law enforcement officer who is a detective with specialized training in\nconducting child sexual abuse investigations, who shall be appointed by the\nsecretary of the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet;\n(g) One (1) employee of the Administrative Office of the Courts appointed by the\nChief Justice of the Supreme Court of Kentucky;\n(h) Two (2) employees of the Attorney General's Office who shall be appointed\nby the Attorney General;\n(i) One (1) Commonwealth' s attorney who shall be appointed by the Attorney\nGeneral;\n(j) The commissioner of the Department of Education or a designee;\n(k) One (1) school counselor, school psychologist, or school social worker who\nshall be appointed by the commissioner of the Department of Education;\n(l) One (1) representative of a children's advocacy center who shall be appointed\nby the Governor;\n(m) One (1) physician appointed by the Governor; and\n(n) One (1) former victim of a sexual offense or one (1) parent of a child sexual\nabuse victim who shall be appointed by the Attorney General.\n(3) Appointees shall serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority but shall not serve\nlonger than four (4) years without reappointment.\n(4) The commission shall elect a chairperson annually from its membership.","path":["KRS Chapter 431"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40967","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:46Z","sha256":"e75c50265f5ca3702f5be40344ada907f09ec727b727efa8032d40235546de63","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-431.600","next":"us-ky/krs-431.660"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
