{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-431.660","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 431.660","heading":"Duties and powers of commission.","body":"(1) The Kentucky Multidisciplinary Commission on Child Sexual Abuse shall:\n(a) Prepare and issue a model protocol for local multidisciplinary teams regarding\ninvestigation and prosecution of child sexual abuse and the role of children's\nadvocacy centers on multidisciplinary teams.\n(b) Review and approve protocols prepared by local multidisciplinary teams.\n(c) Advise local multidisciplinary teams on the investigation and prosecution of\nchild sexual abuse.\n(d) Receive data on child sexual abuse cases collected by  the Prosecutors\nAdvisory Council and issue annual reports.\n(e) Collect data on the operation of local multidisciplinary teams.\n(f) Seek funding to support special projects relating to the operation of local\nmultidisciplinary teams.\n(g) Receive and review complaints regarding local multidisciplinary teams, and\nmake appropriate recommendations.\n(h) Recommend to the Governor, Legislative Research Commission, and\nSupreme Court changes in state programs, legislation, administrative\nregulations, policies, budgets, and treatment and service standards which may\nfacilitate effective intervention of child sexual abuse cases and the\ninvestigation and prosecution of perpetrators of child sexual abuse, and which\nmay improve the opportunity for victims of child sexual ab use to receive\ntreatment.\n(2) The Kentucky Multidisciplinary Commission on Child Sexual Abuse may, within\nbudget limitations, establish and maintain necessary offices, appoint employees, and\nprescribe the duties and compensation for the appointed employees.","path":["KRS Chapter 431"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=18651","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:46Z","sha256":"1950e36aa4a852cf214c1fed4c7ef4937ac70938f97a4331731417781c9d7cbd","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-431.650","next":"us-ky/krs-431.670"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
