{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-434.690","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 434.690","heading":"Receiving goods, services, etc., obtained by fraud -- Presumption as to","body":"possession of transportation tickets fraudulently obtained.\n(1) A person who receives money, goods, services, or anything else of value obtained in\nviolation of KRS 434.6 50, knowing or believing that it was so obtained is guilty of\na Class B misdemeanor unless:\n(a) The value of all money, goods, services, and other things of value received in\nviolation of this section over a six (6) month period is five hundred dollars\n($500) or more but is less than one thousand dollars ($1,000), in which case it\nis a Class A misdemeanor;\n(b) The value of all money, goods, services, and other things of value received in\nviolation of this section over a six (6) month period is one thousand dollars\n($1,000) or more but is less than ten thousand dollars ($10,000), in which case\nit is a Class D felony;\n(c) The person has three (3) or more convictions under paragraph (a) of this\nsubsection within the last five (5) years, in which case it is a Cl ass D felony.\nThe five (5) year period shall be measured from the dates on which the\noffenses occurred for which the judgments of conviction were entered; or\n(d) The value of all money, goods, services, and other things of value received in\nviolation of th is section over a six (6) month period is ten thousand dollars\n($10,000) or more, in which case it is a Class C felony.\n(2) A person who possesses three (3) or more tickets for airline, railroad, steamship, or\nother transportation service, which tickets we re obtained by the use of a stolen or\nforged credit or debit card is presumed to know that such tickets were so obtained.","path":["KRS Chapter 434"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=51036","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:49Z","sha256":"5f19985d47c1a6dfcfe13334e481f885671e6a6074ff3bae64f0469deffccfc7","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-434.685","next":"us-ky/krs-434.695"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
