{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-434.870","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 434.870","heading":"Definitions for KRS 434.870 to 434.876.","body":"As used in KRS 434.870 to 434.876, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Financial information\" includes but is not limited to any of the following\ninformation identifiable to the individual that concerns the amount and conditions\nof an individual's assets, liabilities, or credit:\n(a) Account numbers and balances;\n(b) Transactional information concerning any account;\n(c) Codes, passwords, Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, and\ndriver's license numbers; and\n(d) Information held for the purpose of credit or loan acquisition, account access,\nor transaction initiation;\n(2) \"Financial information repository\" means any person engaged in the business of\nproviding services to customers who have a credit, deposit, trust, stock, or other\nfinancial account or relationship with the person; and\n(3) \"Person\" means an individual, sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, limited\nliability company, association, or any entity however organized and whether or not\norganized to operate for profit.","path":["KRS Chapter 434"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=18924","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:49Z","sha256":"e5c8d903d9e0c5c5c422866f827116740233460339da9dfb5928e88461fed8f2","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-434.860","next":"us-ky/krs-434.872"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
