{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-439.480","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 439.480","heading":"Duties of probation and parole officers.","body":"Probation and parole officers shall:\n(1) Investigate all cases referred to them for investigation by the commissioner or by\nany court in which they are authorized to serve;\n(2) Furnish to each person released under their supervision a written statement of the\nconditions of probation or parole and instruct him regarding the conditions;\n(3) Keep informed concerning the conduct and conditions of each person under their\nsupervision and use all suitable methods to aid and encourage them to bring about\nimprovement in their conduct and condition;\n(4) Keep detailed records of their work;\n(5) Collect and disburse all moneys in accordance with the orders of the commissioner,\nboard, or court;\n(6) Keep accurate and complete accounts of all moneys received and disbursed in\naccordance with orders of the commissioner, board, or court, and give receipts\ntherefor;\n(7) Make the reports in writing the court or commissioner may require;\n(8) Coordinate their work with that of other social agencies and file identifying\ninformation regarding their cases with any social service index or exchange\noperation in the area to which they are assigned.","path":["KRS Chapter 439"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=19196","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:53Z","sha256":"e98ae8822f0c9767c90160940e694cba2d2cadc39df55a53950a02e8e90ab234","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-439.470","next":"us-ky/krs-439.483"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
