{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-439.640","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 439.640","heading":"Vocational training program for prisoners -- Eligibility for compensation -","body":"- Commissioner to recommend regulations.\n(1) The commissioner of the Department of Corrections may, during the last ninety (90)\ndays of confinement of an inmate committed to a correctional facility maintained\nand operated by the department, permit an inmate to participate in a vocational\ntraining program in the community on a voluntary basis. The vocational training\nprogram shall be for the express purpose of permitting the inma te to improve\nvocational skills to assist the inmate to secure permanent employment prior to\nrelease by the department.
