{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-441.810","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 441.810","heading":"Composition of authority -- Appointment -- Terms.","body":"(1) The regional jail authority shall be composed of members appointed by the county\njudges/executive of the respective counties within the authority and the jailer of the\ncounty where the regional jail is located.  The county judge/executive of the most\npopulous county shall appoint three (3) members to the authority, and the remainder\nof the county judges/executive shall each appoint two (2) members.\n(2) Members of the authority shall serve four (4) year terms, except that one (1) of each\ncounty judge/execut ive's original appointees shall serve a two (2) year term.\nMembers of the authority shall not be compensated for their service but may be\nreimbursed for expenses actually incurred.","path":["KRS Chapter 441"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=19382","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:56Z","sha256":"a2156ae07b4a3625516098d4a6bede16c68932ebb7596ac0e29c983321661f33","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-441.800","next":"us-ky/krs-441.820"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
