{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-45.340","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 45.340","heading":"Checks for salaries -- When to be issued.","body":"Except where otherwise provided by law, checks for salaries due to public officers and\nemployees shall be issued weekly, semimonthly, monthly or for such other period of time\nnot exceeding thirty (30) days which may be designated by the Finance and\nAdministration Cabinet with the approval of the Governor. Checks shall be tendered to an\nofficer or employee only after he has completed the work for which he is being paid and\nnot later than fifteen (15) days after the designated pay period. The Finance and\nAdministration Cabinet is authorized to effect such changes in the payroll system at any\ntime as are necessary to pay salaries after work has been performed. The cabinet is further\nauthorized to make such changes as are necessary and desirable in the posting o f payroll\nexpenditures and any other accounting and reporting procedures.
