{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-45.350","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 45.350","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in KRS 45.351 to 45.359 unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Block grant\" means any federal block grant authorized by the federal Omnibus\nBudget Reconciliation Act of 1981 (P.L. 97 -35) and any subsequent amendments\nthereto and any federal bl ock grant authorized by the United States Congress after\nJuly 1, 1983.\n(2) \"Commission\" means the Legislative Research Commission.\n(3) \"Designated review body\" means either:\n(a) Any interim joint committee, as designated by the Commission at any time\nwhen the General Assembly is not in session, whose subject jurisdiction\nrelates to the block grant under review; or\n(b) Any interim joint committee, as designated by the Commission at any time\nwhen the General Assembly is not in session, whose subject jurisdict ion\nrelates to the block grant under review plus the Interim Joint Committee on\nAppropriations and Revenue; or\n(c) Any standing committee, as designated by the Committee on Committees\nduring any legislative session, whose subject jurisdiction relates to th e block\ngrant under review; or\n(d) Any standing committee, as designated by the Committee on Committees\nduring any legislative session, whose subject jurisdiction  relates to the block\ngrant under review plus the Senate and House standing committees on\nappropriations and revenue.\n(4) \"Federal administering agency\" means any agency of the United States government\nadministering any block grant.\n(5) \"State administering agency\" means any agency of the Commonwealth submitting\nan application for block grant fund ing to the secretary or chief public official of the\nfederal administering agency.","path":["KRS Chapter 45"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=22240","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:05Z","sha256":"288fcb8fe49c24e0dda9b5485f39808e206c9e588b35168af01662b2649dc337","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-45.345","next":"us-ky/krs-45.351"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
