(Effective until January 1, 2027)\n(1) There is created a permanent subcommittee of the Legislative Research\nCommission to be known as the Capital P rojects and Bond Oversight Committee.\nThe subcommittee shall be composed of eight (8) members appointed as follows:\nthree (3) members of the Senate appointed by the President of the Senate; one (1)\nmember of the minority party in the Senate appointed by th e Minority Floor Leader\nin the Senate; three (3) members of the House of Representatives appointed by the\nSpeaker of the House of Representatives; and one (1) member of the minority party\nin the House of Representatives appointed by the Minority Floor Lead er in the\nHouse of Representatives. The members of the subcommittee shall serve for terms\nof two (2) years, and the members appointed from each chamber shall elect one (1)\nmember from their chamber to serve as co -chair. Any vacancy which may occur in\nthe membership of the subcommittee shall be filled by the appointing authority who\nmade the original appointment.\n(2) On an alternating basis, each co -chair shall have the first option to set the monthly\nmeeting date. A monthly meeting may be canceled by agreem ent of both co -chairs.\nThe co -chairs shall have joint responsibilities for subcommittee meeting agendas\nand presiding at subcommittee meetings. The members of the subcommittee shall\nbe compensated for attending meetings as provided in KRS 7.090(3).\n(3) Any professional, clerical, or other employees required by the subcommittee shall\nbe provided in accordance with KRS 7.090(4) and (5).\n(4) A majority of the entire membership of the Capital Projects and Bond Oversight\nCommittee shall constitute a quorum, and all actions of the subcommittee shall be\nby vote of a majority of its entire membership.\nEffective: March 31, 2003","path":["KRS Chapter 45"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=22310","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:06Z","sha256":"7032b0003f0e2ef0421bf70720fa0f50b0e06108d12390161cfda536da02ab77","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-45.782","next":"us-ky/krs-45.793"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
