{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-453.255","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 453.255","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in KRS 453.260 and 453.265, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Commonwealth\" means the Commonwealth of Kentucky and any board, bureau,\ncommission, department, division, authority or other entity of the Commonwealth\nof Kentucky except for political subdivisions.\n(2) \"Administrative review board\" means any entity of an administrative agency having\nthe jurisdiction to hear and determine appeals from final rulings, orders and\ndeterminations of that agency or make initial determinations.\n(3) \"Party\" means any individual, partnership, corporation, association or public or\nprivate organization other than the Commonwealth.\n(4) \"Costs\" means the reasonable:  expenses of expert witnesses, cost of any study,\nanalysis, engineering report, test or pr oject which is found by the court to be\nnecessary for the preparation of the party's case and necessary attorney fees, and in\nthe case of an action to review an administrative review board decision, all such\nfees and other expenses incurred in the conteste d case proceedings in which the\ndecision was rendered.","path":["KRS Chapter 453"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=19569","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:58Z","sha256":"3ad7cd550a136fb38c5e84d1de8a7d96550368500796e1b6f7c2c2b896acec10","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-453.250","next":"us-ky/krs-453.260"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
