{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-454.350","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 454.350","heading":"Time within which judge, commissioner or hearing officer must issue","body":"judgment or report -- Certification of reason when delay occurs.\n(1) Every Circuit and District Judge shall, when at all possible, issue a written\njudgment or order in all civil actio ns which have been submitted for final\nadjudication within ninety (90) days from the date the action was taken under\nsubmission.\n(2) Where a report, findings, or recommendations of a commissioner or hearing officer\nare required by statute or rule as a prer equisite to an order or judgment by the\nCircuit or District Court the same shall be filed within ninety (90) days of the\nconclusion of the trial or hearing at which the commissioner or hearing officer\npresided.\n(3) Every Circuit and District Judge shall at the end of every month certify in writing to\nthe Chief Justice of the Supreme Court all cases which have been submitted for\nfinal adjudication for longer than ninety (90) days and have not been adjudicated\nand certify in writing to the Chief Justice of th e Supreme Court the reason for the\ndelay.\n(4) Any District or Circuit Judge who knowingly violates any of the provisions of this\nsection shall be subject to removal by the Judicial Retirement and Removal\nCommission.","path":["KRS Chapter 454"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=19609","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:58Z","sha256":"afa1e50ba9f0c15ec0a84ade32b28f27686af930abedfdddb2c973bdcc419e43","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-454.280","next":"us-ky/krs-454.400"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
