{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-456.130","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 456.130","heading":"Information required in interpersonal protective order to assist in full","body":"faith and credit determination.\n(1) In order to assist a court of another state in determining whether an order issued\nunder this chapter is entitled to full faith and credit pursuant to 18 U.S.C. sec. 2265:\n(a) All interpersonal protective orders shall include a statement certifying that the\nissuing court had jurisdiction over the parties and the matter, and that\nreasonable notice and opportunity to be heard has been given to t he person\nagainst whom the order is sought sufficient to protect that person's right to due\nprocess; and\n(b) All temporary interpersonal protective orders shall include a statement\ncertifying that notice and opportunity to be heard has been provided within the\ntime required by state law, and in any event within a reasonable time after the\norder is issued, sufficient to protect the respondent's due process rights.\n(2) The Administrative Office of the Courts shall prescribe the form to be used for the\npurposes of this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 456"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=44779","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:59:59Z","sha256":"9bd4f57fdf0b65ee2ab8bc59addb60c7dadc4734f8051ca76bf346b6ecaea301","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-456.120","next":"us-ky/krs-456.140"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
