{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-45a.055","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 45A.055","heading":"State purchasing regulations.","body":"(1) Prior to January 1, 1979, the secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet\nshall publish the initial state purchasing regulations in accordance with current\nFinance and Administration Cabinet policies and procedures. The initial regulations\nmay be p romulgated on an interim basis, without regard to the provisions of KRS\nChapter 13A, provided, however, that final regulations shall be promulgated\npursuant to the provisions of KRS Chapter 13A within two hundred forty (240) days\nfollowing the promulgation of the initial regulations.\n(2) All additions, deletions, or other modifications of the final purchasing regulations\nissued pursuant to subsection (1) of this section shall be promulgated by the\nsecretary in accordance with any applicable provisions of KRS Chapter 13A.\n(3) The secretary shall not delegate his power to issue the state purchasing regulations\nunder subsections (1) and (2) of this section to any other person or agency, and no\nstate purchasing regulations shall be issued except as approved by the secretary.\n(4) No state purchasing regulation shall change in any way a contract commitment by\nthe Commonwealth nor of a contractor to the Commonwealth, which was in\nexistence on the effective date of the regulation.\n(5) The provisions of state purchasi ng regulations promulgated as authorized herein\nshall be considered to be incorporated by operation of law in all state contracts.","path":["KRS Chapter 45A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=22336","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:06Z","sha256":"63b8a8f0cd117705d8b86385a7c3dd492aadf86fa4f6dcfcddc28f46bd633dba","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-45a.050","next":"us-ky/krs-45a.060"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
