{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-45a.675","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 45A.675","heading":"Small or small minority business set aside.","body":"(1) The cabinet shall designate as small or small minority business set aside state\ncontracts of goods, equipment, construction, or services requested to be purchased\nby or for any agency whenever there is a reasonable expectation that bids can be\nobtained fro m at least three (3) small or small minority businesses capable of\nfurnishing the desired property or services at a fair and reasonable price. Such\ndesignation should be made prior to the public notice for bids, and the notice shall\ndesignate this invitation as a small or small minority business set aside.\n(2) When an item has been designated as a small or small minority business set aside,\ninvitations for bids shall be confined to small or small minority businesses and bids\nfrom other bidders may be rejected.\n(3) The cabinet shall award contracts to the responsible bidder whose bid meets\nspecifications and offers the best value to the Commonwealth.","path":["KRS Chapter 45A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=22464","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:08Z","sha256":"bf71db7c9db059646b44fad5a9f98158521baebc92eac3c2b05482cdc3b1f9c9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-45a.670","next":"us-ky/krs-45a.680"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
