{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-45a.863","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 45A.863","heading":"Antinepotism provisions.","body":"(1) A person shall not serve on an underwriter or bond counsel selection committee if\nthat person, his spouse, either of his parents, any of his siblings, or any of his\nchildren is employed by a bond counsel or underwriter which has prequalified\npursuant to KR S 45A.853(1) or owns one percent (1%) or more of a bond counsel\nor underwriter firm which has prequalified pursuant to KRS 45A.853(1).\n(2) If, in the course of an individual's service on a selection committee, he, his spouse,\neither of his parents, any of his siblings, or any of his children is employed by an\nunderwriter or bond counsel which has prequalified pursuant to KRS 45A.853(1) or\nowns one percent (1%) or more of an underwriter or bond counsel firm which has\nprequalified pursuant to KRS 45A.853(1), then his membership on the selection\ncommittee shall end and the vacancy shall be filled as prescribed in KRS 45A.843.\n(3) For a period of one (1) year after a person ends his service on a selection committee,\nthe Commonwealth shall not consider employing an underwriter or a bond counsel\nif that person, his spouse, either of his parents, any of his siblings, or any of his\nchildren is employed by a firm which was awarded a contract by a selection\ncommittee on which he served or owns one percent (1%) or more of a firm which\nwas awarded a contract by a selection committee on which he served.","path":["KRS Chapter 45A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=22501","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:08Z","sha256":"51f721e76cf00939d58527dd8e138b9c01cbcb3f3fc34aef711e5738e56d14d8","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-45a.860","next":"us-ky/krs-45a.867"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
