{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-48.120","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 48.120","heading":"Preliminary and official revenue estimates to be provided by Office of State","body":"Budget Director -- Appropriations to be based on official revenue estimates.\n(1) By September 30 of each odd -numbered year, the Office of State Budget Director,\nin conjunction with the consensus forecasting group, shall provide to each branch of\ngovernment preliminary revenue estimates. The preliminary revenue estimates shall\ninclude:\n(a) A baseline analysis and projections of economic conditions and outlook;\n(b) Any poten tial consequences of the analysis and projections for the\nCommonwealth's fiscal condition;\n(c) The revenue estimates and implications for the general fund and road fund for\nthe current fiscal year and next two (2) fiscal years; and\n(d) Projections of perso nal income, employment, and economic indicators that\nreflect economic conditions.\n(2) By December 20 of each odd -numbered year, the Office of State Budget Director\nshall certify and present to the Legislative Research Commission the official\nrevenue estimates made by the consensus forecasting group for the general fund and\nroad fund for the current and next two (2) fiscal years.\n(3) Appropriations made in the branch budget bills enacted for each branch of\ngovernment shall be based upon the official revenue estimates presented to the\nLegislative Research Commission by the Office of State Budget Director under\nsubsection (2) of this section, as modified by the General Assembly.\n(4) The enacted estimates shall become the official revenue estimates of the\nCommonwealth upon the branch budget bills becoming law, and shall remain the\nofficial revenue estimates of the Commonwealth until revised by the consensus\nforecasting group as provided in KRS 48.115.","path":["KRS Chapter 48"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53483","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:09Z","sha256":"92d91eebc10942ab283c582c8bece6bba8f2be7648c38a42f25cee10a34c0879","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-48.117","next":"us-ky/krs-48.130"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
