{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-48.195","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 48.195","heading":"Financial information on salaries and on filing fees and costs to be","body":"submitted as part of the judicial branch budget recommendation -- Treatment\nof salaries in judicial branch budget bill.\n(1) The General Assembly shall set the salaries of the justices  and judges of the Court\nof Justice in the judicial branch budget bill. The Chief Justice shall include in the\njudicial branch budget recommendation the salaries of the justices and the judges. If\nthe General Assembly concurs with the recommended judicial salaries contained in\nthe judicial branch budget recommendation, then the judicial salaries shall be set in\nthe judicial branch budget bill by incorporating by reference the judicial branch\nbudget recommendation. If the General Assembly sets judicial salar ies different\nfrom the judicial branch budget recommendation, then the General Assembly shall\nset forth the salaries of the justices and judges or the incremental changes in the\njudicial branch budget bill.\n(2) The Chief Justice shall include in the judicial branch budget recommendation:\n(a) The filing fees and costs, and any changes in the fees and costs, set under KRS\n23A.200 or 24A.170 during the fiscal biennium immediately preceding the\nbiennium for which the recommendation is submitted; and\n(b) A state ment of whether, and to what extent, the Supreme Court intends to\nraise or anticipates raising the fees and costs set under KRS 23A.200 or\n24A.170 during the biennium for which the recommendation is submitted.","path":["KRS Chapter 48"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=39789","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:09Z","sha256":"3fdb9620b5bdd7fb3de10fbc2cbe5bcb3accb2b5a25c209b7c6143399888423d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-48.192","next":"us-ky/krs-48.200"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
