{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-48.400","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 48.400","heading":"Office of State Budget Director to monitor financial condition of","body":"Commonwealth -- Quarterly reports -- Notification of actual or anticipated\nsurplus or decrease in tax receipts.\n(1) The Office of State Budget Director shall continuously monitor the fin ancial\nsituation of the Commonwealth. Based upon reports from budget units and its own\nestimates, the office shall no later than the tenth day of each month or more often if\nnecessary, report to the Governor, the Chief Justice, and the Legislative Research\nCommission on the financial condition of the Commonwealth and its budget units.\n(2) Within thirty (30) days of the close of each fiscal quarter, the state budget director\nshall report to the head of each branch budget the actual revenue receipts from the\njust-concluded quarter, as well as the projected revenue receipts for the next three\n(3) fiscal quarters. The report shall include a comparison with the enacted estimates\nand shall note any potential consequences to the Commonwealth's fiscal condition\nas a result of revenue receipts that differ from those used in the enacted estimates.\n(3) If there is an actual or anticipated surplus or decrease in total estimated tax receipts,\nas reflected in the report required by subsection (2) of this section, immediate\nnotification shall be given to all branches of government.","path":["KRS Chapter 48"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=22567","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:09Z","sha256":"779aabb9f4eced7194afeaf7b03c5c17438d1f73ab3b6bddf6e317adc132d5a7","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-48.316","next":"us-ky/krs-48.500"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
