{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-48.600","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 48.600","heading":"Appropriation reductions in accordance with budget reduction plans upon","body":"actual or official revenue estimate shortfall of five percent or less.\n(1) If an official revenue estimate is issued reflecting a revenue shortfall in the general\nfund or road fund  of five percent (5%) or less, or if there is an actual revenue\nshortfall at the close of a fiscal year in the general fund or road fund of five percent\n(5%) or less, as determined by the Office of State Budget Director, the Governor,\nthe Chief Justice, an d the Legislative Research Commission shall make any\nappropriation reductions for the budget units of their respective branches of\ngovernment in accordance with the budget reduction plan included in the enacted\nbranch budget bill.\n(2) No budget revision action shall be taken by any branch head in excess of the actual\nor projected revenue shortfall.\n(3) Appropriation reductions shall be reported to the standing Appropriations and\nRevenue Committees of each house or to the Interim Joint Committee on\nAppropriations and Revenue, as appropriate.","path":["KRS Chapter 48"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=22569","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:09Z","sha256":"0284b066fa2236cf6f5a7cdcd6ee9102f8815ea87f5f0f39402d64f44ebd20e7","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-48.500","next":"us-ky/krs-48.605"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
