{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-49.080","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 49.080","heading":"Venue of hearings -- Expenses of hearings outside offices.","body":"(1) Hearings involving claimants who are residents of the Commonwealth shall be\nconducted in the county wherein the claim accrues, provided, however, that the\nparties may, with the approval of the Board of Claims, agree upon a place not\nwithin such county for the conduct of hearings. Hearings involving claimants who\nare nonresidents shall be conducted in the county wherein the claim accrues,\nprovided, however, that a hearing, with the approval of the board, may be conducted\nin Franklin County.\n(2) When any memb er of the board is attending hearings at any place other than\nFrankfort, Kentucky, expenses necessarily incurred in the performance of such duty\nshall be paid by the state upon certification by the executive director of the Office of\nClaims and Appeals of an itemized statement of such expenses in accordance with\nFinance and Administration Cabinet administrative regulations.","path":["KRS Chapter 49"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=51457","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:09Z","sha256":"e0ce3516cb52ace4bce7610b745d90316a33a020c39e81d8719716d91a5fbaca","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-49.070","next":"us-ky/krs-49.090"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
