{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-506.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 506.050","heading":"Conspiracy -- General provisions.","body":"(1) No person may be convicted of conspiracy to commit a crime unless an overt act in\nfurtherance of the conspiracy is alleged and proved to have been committed by one\n(1) of the conspirators.\n(2) A person who conspires to commit more than one (1) crime, all o f which are the\nobject of the same agreement or continuous conspiratorial relationship, is guilty of\nonly one (1) conspiracy. The classification of this crime under subsection (2) of\nKRS 506.040 shall be determined by the most serious offense which he is f ound\nguilty of conspiring to commit.\n(3) If a person guilty of conspiracy, as defined by KRS 506.040, knows that a person\nwith whom he conspires to commit a crime has conspired with another person or\npersons to commit the same crime, he is guilty of conspi ring to commit the crime\nwith the other person or persons, whether or not he knows their identity.\n(4) No person may be convicted of conspiracy to commit a crime when an element of\nthat crime is agreement with the person with whom he is alleged to have con spired\nor when that crime is so defined that his conduct is an inevitable incident to its\ncommission.","path":["KRS Chapter 506"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=19705","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:00Z","sha256":"f645056abcee40e87f40fe4e20a6faa3c95e5b3ad27c339b47e13abadfaf5af0","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-506.040","next":"us-ky/krs-506.060"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
