{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-510.300","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 510.300","heading":"Expungement of record.","body":"(1) The arrest record of anyone accused by his spouse of an offense under this chapter\nshall be expunged if said charge was either dismissed with prejudice or a verdict of\nnot guilty on said charge was entered.\n(2) If the charges brought against a defendant un der this chapter are dismissed with\nprejudice or the defendant is found not guilty, the court shall order all law\nenforcement and other public agencies holding records of the offense to expunge\nthe records.\n(3) No person whose records have been expunged pu rsuant to this section shall have to\nanswer \"Yes\" and may answer \"No\" to the question \"Have you ever been arrested?\"\nor any similar question with regard to the offense for which the records were\nexpunged.","path":["KRS Chapter 510"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=19776","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:01Z","sha256":"33ac9324580988c282ad3a4765da72517f5f18b57abfcc1c3d8e6093f802d234","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-510.160","next":"us-ky/krs-510.310"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
