{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-511.010","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 511.010","heading":"Definitions for chapter.","body":"As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Building,\" in addition to its ordinary meaning, means any structure, vehicle,\nwatercraft, or aircraft:\n(a) Where any person lives; or\n(b) Where people assemble for purposes of business , government, education,\nreligion, entertainment, or public transportation.\nEach unit of a building consisting of two (2) or more units separately secured or\noccupied is a separate building;\n(2) \"Dwelling\" means a building which is usually occupied by a person lodging therein;\n(3) \"Employee\" has the same meaning as in KRS 338.015;\n(4) \"Employer\" has the same meaning as in KRS 338.015;\n(5) \"Premises\" includes a building as defined in this section, and any real property;\n(6) \"Threatening behavior\" means behavior intentionally engaged in by a person that\nplaces another person in reasonable apprehension of imminent physical injury; and\n(7) \"Workplace\" means any property that is owned, leased, or controlled by an\nemployer where the employer's official business is conducted and where one (1) or\nmore of the employer's employees perform employment duties.","path":["KRS Chapter 511"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57435","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:01Z","sha256":"58bd2e506aa27e1ee8fd1a19cc0392dc476af148a1d823e46aea129342b3f511","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-510.320","next":"us-ky/krs-511.020"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
