{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-519.082","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 519.082","heading":"Interference with a legislative proceeding in the first degree.","body":"(1) A person is guilty of interference with a legislative proceeding in the first degree\nwhen, with the intent to disrupt, impede, or prevent the General Assembly from\nconducting business, he or she:\n(a) Knowingly engages in, conspires to engage in, or facilitates another person\nengaging in disorderly or disruptive conduct in any legislative building; and\n(b) The conduct disrupts, impedes, or prevents the General Assembly from\nconducting business.\n(2) Interference with a legislative proceeding in the first degree is:\n(a) A Class A misdemeanor; and\n(b) A Class D felony for a third or subsequent offense.\n(3) Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit:\n(a) Assembly in traditional public forums, including but not limited to the Capitol\nrotunda and outdoor areas of the Capitol grounds; or\n(b) Attendance at legislative meetings.","path":["KRS Chapter 519"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56438","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:03Z","sha256":"72cbc79ffed305e78eaf626d7d6e2ffedc4ee960acfc07c6b2de99880a5bd214","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-519.080","next":"us-ky/krs-519.084"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
