{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-519.084","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 519.084","heading":"Interference with a legislative proceeding in the second degree.","body":"(1) A person is guilty of interference with a legislative proceeding in the second degree\nwhen, with the intent to disrupt, impede, or prevent the General Assembly from\nconducting business, he or she knowingly:\n(a) Enters into or remains inside, conspires to enter into or remain inside, or\nfacilitates another person entering into or remaining inside a chamber or\ngallery of the General Assembly, or another room inside a legislativ e building\nthat is set aside or designated for the use of the members of the General\nAssembly; or\n(b) Obstructs or impedes, conspires to obstruct or impede, or facilitates another\nperson obstructing or impeding a legislator, legislative officer, or legisla tive\nstaff member's ingress, egress, or movement within a legislative building.\n(2) Interference with a legislative proceeding in the second degree is a Class B\nmisdemeanor for the first offense and a Class A misdemeanor for a second or\nsubsequent offense.\n(3) Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit:\n(a) Assembly in traditional public forums, including but not limited to the Capitol\nrotunda and outdoor areas of the Capitol grounds; or\n(b) Attendance at legislative meetings.","path":["KRS Chapter 519"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56439","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:03Z","sha256":"8dcb9a99bb5230b5712c1759c04c78fcde3e11a68d783eadd591b7add73ae8b4","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-519.082","next":"us-ky/krs-520.010"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
