{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-527.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 527.110","heading":"Unlawfully providing handgun to juvenile or permitting juvenile to possess","body":"handgun.\n(1) A person is guilty of unlawfully providing a handgun to a juvenile or permitting a\njuvenile to possesses a handgun when he:\n(a) Intentionally, knowingly, or reckle ssly provides a handgun, with or without\nremuneration, in violation of KRS 527.040, 527.100, or 600.020 to any person\nhe knows or has reason to believe is under the age of eighteen (18) years; or\n(b) Is the parent or legal guardian of a juvenile and intent ionally, knowingly, or\nrecklessly provides a handgun to the juvenile or permits the juvenile to\npossess a handgun knowing that there is a substantial risk that the juvenile\nwill use a handgun to commit a felony offense; or, with knowledge that the\njuvenile has been convicted of a crime of violence as defined in KRS\n439.3401 or has been adjudicated a public offender of an offense which would\nconstitute a crime of violence as defined in KRS 439.3401, provides a\nhandgun to that juvenile.\n(2) Unlawfully providing a hand gun to a juvenile or permitting a juvenile to possess a\nhandgun is a Class D felony.","path":["KRS Chapter 527"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=19965","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:04Z","sha256":"e58fced248cb8dca0a3c9fc806f907262133a2bacc55ec0ab002e351080cc465","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-527.100","next":"us-ky/krs-527.200"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
