{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-531.040","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 531.040","heading":"Using minors to distribute obscene material.","body":"(1) A person is guilty of using minors to distribute obscene material when knowing a\nperson to be a minor, or having possession of such facts that he should reasonably\nknow such person is a minor, and knowing of the content and character of the\nmaterial, he knowingly:\n(a) Hires; or\n(b) Employs; or\n(c) Uses,\na minor to do or assist in doing any of the acts prohibited by KRS 531.020.\n(2) Using minors to distribute obscene material is a Class A misdemeanor unless the\ndefendant has previously been convicted of violation of this section or KRS\n531.030, in which case it shall be a Class D felony.","path":["KRS Chapter 531"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=20008","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:05Z","sha256":"3c0cc76582c42585d66ffdefd8dc8b0c55f305c3571163cbf804f508cd2e6b20","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-531.030","next":"us-ky/krs-531.050"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
