{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-531.320","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 531.320","heading":"Promoting a sexual performance by a minor.","body":"(1) A person is guilty of promoting a sexual performance by a minor when, knowing\nthe character and content thereof, he or she produces, directs, or promotes any\nperformance which includes sexual conduct by a minor or computer -generated\nimage of a minor.\n(2) Promoting a sexual performance by a minor is:\n(a) A Class C felony if the minor or computer -generated image of a minor\ninvolved in the sexual performance is less than eighteen (18) years old at the\ntime the minor or computer -generated image of a minor engag es in the\nprohibited activity;\n(b) A Class B felony if the minor or computer -generated image of a minor\ninvolved in the sexual performance is less than sixteen (16) years old at the\ntime the minor or computer -generated image of a minor engages in the\nprohibited activity; and\n(c) A Class A felony if the minor involved in the sexual performance incurs\nphysical injury thereby.","path":["KRS Chapter 531"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54775","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:05Z","sha256":"6fa561df047dc2462d4b3ed4d5c658e68a7b40ff251234892e451fdd8591f768","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-531.310","next":"us-ky/krs-531.330"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
