{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-532.350","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 532.350","heading":"Definitions for chapter.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) (a) \"Restitution\" means any form of compensation paid by a convicted person to a\nvictim for counseling, medical expenses, lost wages due to injury, or property\ndamage and other expenses suffered by a victim because of a criminal act;\n(b) \"Reimbursement\" means payment of expenses associated with incarceration,\nincluding but not limited to medical expenses, food, and lodging;\n(c) \"Sinking fund\" means the fund created and used by local governments to\nprovide maintenance of jail facilities and capital construction; improvement of\nlaw enforcement, jail, and judicial facilities; and other long -term expenditures\nassociated with those areas; and\n(d) \"Local government\" means any county, urban -county, or charter county\ngovernment.\n(2) Definitions in KRS 441.005 apply to this chapter.","path":["KRS Chapter 532"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=20069","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:06Z","sha256":"933fe9ed0d469192943be75a939907d4f46184ada1ecee526ab3b3247b463227","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-532.309","next":"us-ky/krs-532.352"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
