{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-533.200","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 533.200","heading":"Form  of sentencing for convicted persons who  have not received a","body":"graduation certificate or High School Equivalency Diploma -- Exceptions\nfor an individual with a severe intellectual disability.\n(1) A  person convicted of a misdemeanor  or violation who has not received a\ngraduation certificate from high school or has not obtained a High School\nEquivalency Diploma may, in addition to or in lieu of any other penalty provided\nby law, be sentenced to attend and successfully complete a program designed\nto improve his reading, living, and employment  skills. Attendance at such\nprogram shall be deemed  a form of probation and all provisions of the law with\nrespect to probation, including restitution to victims, shall apply.\n(2) A  person convicted of a felony who has not received a graduation certificate\nfrom high school or has not obtained a High School Equivalency Diploma may,\nin addition to any other penalty provided by law, be sentenced to attend and\nsuccessfully complete a program designed to improve his reading, living, and\nemployment  skills.
