{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-533.262","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 533.262","heading":"Other programs before and after July 15, 1998.","body":"(1) The pretrial diversion program authorized by KRS 533.250 to 533.260 shall be the\nsole program utilized in the Circuit Courts of the Commonwealth except for drug\ncourt diversion as approved by the Supreme Court and the Department of\nCorrections.\n(2) As of J uly 15, 1998, the only other pretrial diversion programs utilized by the\nCommonwealth shall be those authorized by the Kentucky Supreme Court and\nproviding for the pretrial diversion of misdemeanants. Programs existing as of July\n15, 1998, may continue for  the purpose of supervising persons granted pretrial\ndiversion prior to July 15, 1998, however no new persons shall be admitted to these\nprograms.\n(3) A person who is in a pretrial diversion program as of July 15, 1998, may continue in\nthat program until he or she successfully completes the program or is removed from\nthe program for other reasons, whichever occurs earlier.","path":["KRS Chapter 533"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=20094","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:06Z","sha256":"b64fad4b319a096ccf7d5c1d959ba1b326ba425c498373c6dcc3ebc314d62541","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-533.260","next":"us-ky/krs-533.270"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
