{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-56.185","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 56.185","heading":"State agencies to comply with National Flood Insurance Program","body":"requirements for new construction.\n(1) All state agencies shall comply with the requirements of the National Flood\nInsurance Program when constructing state buildings, structures, roads, or  other\nfacilities in a flood plain.\n(2) The Finance and Administration Cabinet shall issue regulations to ensure\ncompliance with subsection (1) of this section.\n(3) The Energy and Environment Cabinet shall assist the Finance and Administration\nCabinet in interpreting the federal law and regulations relating to the National Flood\nInsurance Program.\n(4) The Finance and Administration Cabinet shall submit to the Legislative Research\nCommission verification of the proper initial implementation of this section a nd\nshall annually report to the Commission on its continued implementation.","path":["KRS Chapter 56"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=22606","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:10Z","sha256":"5681f9861f7d88a9d94a8cfe8d735ec925ca3dfa6091c561b576424a2676b60b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-56.180","next":"us-ky/krs-56.190"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
