{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-56.240","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 56.240","heading":"Affidavits of applicant and surveyor.","body":"Before the surveyor permits the entry of any land for survey and patent, and before he\nsurveys any land for the purpose of obtaining a patent thereon, he shall require the party\ndesiring the entry and survey made to file with him an affidavit to the effect  that the land\nhas not, to the applicant's knowledge or belief, been previously entered, surveyed or\npatented, in whole or in part, and that the land is vacant and unappropriated.
