{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-56.620","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 56.620","heading":"Relocation assistance authorized.","body":"(1) If any department, agency or instrumentality of the state, or any county,\nmunicipality, or other political subdivision, or any other public or private entity\nsubject to the provisions of the Federal Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real\nProperty Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended, Public Laws 91 -646, and\n100-17, Title IV, hereinafter the Federal Uniform Relocation Act, undertakes any\nproject, which results in the acquisition of real property or in any person or persons\nbeing displaced from their homes, businesses, or farms, such state department,\nagency or instrumentality, county, municipality or other political subdivision, or\nother public or private entity may provide relocation assistance, and make relocation\npayments to such displaced person a nd to do such other acts and follow such\nprocedures and practices as may be necessary to comply with the provisions of the\nFederal Uniform Relocation Act.\n(2) Any payment made or to be made under the authority granted herein shall be for\ncompensating or re imbursing the displaced person or owner of real property in\naccordance with the requirements of the Federal Uniform Relocation Act and such\npayments shall not for any purpose be deemed or considered compensation for real\nproperty acquired or compensation for damages to remaining property.","path":["KRS Chapter 56"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=22669","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:11Z","sha256":"e363f95a15a7ceae0e0eec927f9b4da7d3c20d367027ad91c67c931ccbb35fa9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-56.610","next":"us-ky/krs-56.630"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
