{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-56.690","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 56.690","heading":"Administrative regulations for relocation assistance.","body":"(1) Except as provided in subsection (3) of this section, the Finance and Administration\nCabinet shall adopt such administrative regulations as may be necessary to assure:\n(a) That the payments and assistance authorized by KRS 56.620 shall be\nadministered in a  manner which is fair and reasonable, and as uniform as\npracticable;\n(b) That a displaced person who makes proper application for a payment\nauthorized for such person by KRS 56.620 shall be paid promptly after a\nmove or, in hardship cases, be paid in advance; and\n(c) That any person aggrieved by a determination as to eligibility for a payment\nauthorized by KRS 56.620 or the amount of a payment, may have his\napplication reviewed by the head of the state agency.\n(2) The Finance and Administration Cabinet may prescribe such other administrative\nregulations and procedures, consistent with the provisions of KRS 56.620, as it\ndeems necessary or appropriate to carry out KRS 56.620.\n(3) The Transportation Cabinet shall adopt such administrative regulations and\nprocedures consistent with the provisions of KRS 56.620, as it deems necessary or\nappropriate to carry out the provisions of KRS 56.620 with regard to requirements\nof the Transportation Cabinet.\n(4) Any county, municipality, or other political subdivision, or a ny other public or\nprivate entity subject to the provisions of the Federal Uniform Relocation Act,\nbefore undertaking any project involving federal financial assistance which results\nin the acquisition of real property or in any person or persons being dis placed from\ntheir homes, businesses, or farms, shall adopt such administrative regulations,\nordinances, procedures or policies as necessary or appropriate to carry out the\nprovisions of KRS 56.620.","path":["KRS Chapter 56"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=22676","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:11Z","sha256":"65478d95e6b9c5e8f8e39c21a44ce84653df636653019050184a06ddde3901dd","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-56.680","next":"us-ky/krs-56.700"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
