{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-56.782","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 56.782","heading":"Report on use of energy -efficiency measures in state government --","body":"Contents.\nThe cabinet shall report on or before October 15, 2008, and on or before every October\n15 thereafter to the Legislative Research Commission on progress made to maximi ze the\nuse of energy -efficiency measures in state government. The Legislative Research\nCommission shall transmit the report to the appropriate interim joint committees and to\nthe General Assembly when it convenes. The report shall include but not be limited to:\n(1) A summary of initiatives undertaken by the cabinet during the reporting period to\npromote adoption of low cost/no cost energy -efficiency measures, including\nemployee training efforts;\n(2) A summary of energy -efficiency measures installed and ener gy improvements\nmade during the reporting period;\n(3) Energy consumption and expenditure data for facilities owned or leased by state\ngovernment and any documented savings made as a result of energy -efficiency\nmeasures and improvements;\n(4) Status report on the number of buildings newly constructed, renovated, or leased in\naccordance with the high -performance building standards required under KRS\n56.777 and the amount of savings realized based upon a life-cycle cost analysis;\n(5) Any efforts made during the  reporting period to promote acquisition of energy -\nefficient products pursuant to KRS 45A.045(13) and the amount of savings\nexpected to be realized in the first year of operation from the purchase of ENERGY\nSTAR-qualified products pursuant to KRS 56.775;\n(6) Any recommendations for future funding of energy improvements or other\nmeasures needed to assure energy efficiency in state government; and\n(7) Any improvements in energy efficiency planned or realized through the use of the\nLEED rating system, the Gree n Globes rating system, ENERGY STAR -qualified\nproducts, and guaranteed energy savings performance contracts.","path":["KRS Chapter 56"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57795","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:11Z","sha256":"44fc3d2b0d51300905285e6227d18b51bb2d4dc2ccbabe3d23d50bda7d66d035","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-56.780","next":"us-ky/krs-56.783"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
