{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-56.814","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 56.814","heading":"Employees forbidden to disclose information prior to advertisement.","body":"(1) No officer or employee of any state agency shall engage in any act or make any\nrepresentation or commitment to any person relative to the lease of any real property\nby the state without specific written authorization from and approval by the Finance\nand Administration Cabinet and neither the state nor the department shall be bound\nby the act, representation, or commitment unless so authorized and approved.\n(2) (a) No officer or employee of any state agency shall disclose to any person or firm\nwho might reas onably be expected to submit a proposal, any approved plans\nby the department for the lease of real property for which public notice is\nrequired under KRS 43.050, 48.111, and 56.800 to 56.823 prior to the public\nnotice. Discussions of approved leasing plan s may be held after public notice\nwith persons interested in submitting a proposal pertaining to the space\nrequirements.\n(b) If all of the proposals, submitted in response to the advertisement referred to\nin paragraph (a) of this subsection, are rejected, then the requirements of\nparagraph (a) shall govern disclosure before, and discussions after, new\nadvertisements are placed.","path":["KRS Chapter 56"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=22710","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:11Z","sha256":"57e03bcbfd56552b4c4ef2a644fa6f7e8021adc9429321a7f58462fc2faafc22","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-56.8135","next":"us-ky/krs-56.816"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
