{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-57.310","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 57.310","heading":"House and Senate journals, who entitled to copies -- Affirmative response","body":"required prior to receipt.\n(1) Subject to subsections (2) and (3) of this section, the following officers and libraries\nare entitled free of charge to copies of the journals of e ach house of the General\nAssembly, as they are published: each member of the General Assembly, one (1)\ncopy for the session in which he served; the law library of each county, one (1)\ncopy; the Governor and Secretary of State, one (1) copy each; the State Law\nLibrary, two (2) copies; the Legislative Research Commission, five (5) copies for\nthe use of the Senate and five (5) copies for the use of the House of Representatives;\nthe law library of the University of Kentucky, the law library of the University of\nLouisville, the Library of Congress, the Kentucky Historical Society, the\nDepartment for Libraries and Archives, and each of the state universities in\nKentucky, two (2) copies each.\n(2) Prior to printing the journals, the Legislative Research Commission s hall inquire of\nthose entitled to a free copy of the journals under subsection (1) of this section:\n(a) Whether the officer or library wishes to receive the free copy or copies to\nwhich entitled; and\n(b) If the officer or library desires to receive a free copy, whether the officer or\nlibrary prefers to receive it in print or electronic format.\n(3) Unless those entitled to a free copy of the journals respond affirmatively to the\ninquiry required by subsection (2) of this section, they shall not receive a fre e copy\nor copies of the journals.","path":["KRS Chapter 57"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=22797","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:13Z","sha256":"f408154fa975627897d703acf991d1e62e4838e31a86630d227538a84f39149e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-57.300","next":"us-ky/krs-57.320"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
