{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-6.190","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 6.190","heading":"Compensation -- Travel expenses.","body":"Beginning as of January 1, 1984, the members of the General Assembly, other than the\nSpeaker of the House of Representatives, the President of the Senate, the Speaker Pro\nTempore of the House of Representatives, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and the\nmajority and minority leadership of each house of the General Assembly, shall each\nreceive as compensation one hundred dollars ($100) per day, the President of the Senate\nand the Speaker of the House of Representatives shall each receive as compensation o ne\nhundred twenty -five dollars ($125) per day, the majority and minority floor leaders of\neach house of the General Assembly shall each receive as compensation one hundred\ntwenty dollars ($120) per day, and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, the Spea ker\nPro Tempore, and the majority and minority caucus chairmen and whips of each house of\nthe General Assembly shall each receive as compensation one hundred fifteen dollars\n($115) per day, during the session of the General Assembly. In addition to his\ncompensation as a member of the General Assembly, each chairman of a standing\ncommittee of the House of Representatives or the Senate shall receive compensation of\nten dollars ($10) for each regularly scheduled meeting of the standing committee which\nhe chairs during sessions of the General Assembly. Beginning as of July 1, 1980, each\nmember of the General Assembly shall receive mileage and reimbursement of road tolls\nfor one (1) round trip for each week of the session between his home and the State\nCapitol during regular sessions and extraordinary sessions of the General Assembly and\nthe necessary travel in going to and returning from the sessions of their respective houses.\nThe mileage allowance under this section shall be equal to the maximum mileage\nallowance permitted by the federal government, to be increased as federal mileage\nallowance is increased.","path":["KRS Chapter 6"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=273","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:24Z","sha256":"8d8eef70c208c7e34d87e00a4d471c06fa0dcf4e9cf79a377b2fce32a564dae0","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-6.185","next":"us-ky/krs-6.191"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
