{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-6.621","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 6.621","heading":"Extraterritorial application.","body":"Except as otherwise provided in this section, a person may be convicted under this code\nof an offense committed by his own conduct or the conduct of another for which he is\nlegally accountable when:\n(1) Either the conduct or the result which is an element of the offense occurs within this\nstate;\n(2) Conduct occurring outside the state is sufficient to constitute an attempt to commit\nan offense within the state;\n(3) Conduct occurring outside the state is sufficient to constitute a conspiracy to\ncommit an offense within the state and an overt act in furtherance of the conspiracy\noccurs within the state;\n(4) Conduct occurring within this state establishes complicity in the commission of, or\nan attempt, solicitation, or conspiracy to commit, an offense in anothe r jurisdiction\nwhich is also an offense under this code;\n(5) The offense consists of the omission to perform a legal duty imposed by this code\nregardless of where that person is when the omission occurs; or\n(6) The offense is a violation of this code that expressly prohibits conduct outside the\nstate.","path":["KRS Chapter 6"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=335","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:24Z","sha256":"3bb8c2acbbbfa4574467aa22ec3df9e6e4ba96a798bd9a0ed04b467338576b4e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-6.620","next":"us-ky/krs-6.625"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
