{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-6.661","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 6.661","heading":"Executive director -- Staff.","body":"(1) The commission may employ an executive director who shall serve at the pleasure\nof the commission.\n(2) The executive director shall:\n(a) Administer the daily business of the commission and perform the duties\nassigned by the commission; and\n(b) Employ and r emove other personnel as necessary to carry out the provisions\nof this code.\n(3) The commission shall fix the compensation of its staff, and the compensation shall\nbe commensurate with that paid to executive branch officials with a similar level of\nresponsibilities.\n(4) The staff of the commission shall be exempt from the provisions of KRS 18A.005\nto 18A.202.\n(5) A member of the staff of the commission during his term of employment shall be\nsubject to the provisions of KRS 6.651(8).","path":["KRS Chapter 6"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=348","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:25Z","sha256":"6e826a400e0a916193aa88a81ca1d09db1323b8586f4056b3a65ccf1e13d89d2","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-6.660","next":"us-ky/krs-6.665"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
