{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-6.696","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 6.696","heading":"Effect of felony conviction on state retirement benefits.","body":"(1) A legislator or former legislator convicted of a felony relating to his duties as a\nlegislator, in any state or federal court of competent jurisdiction, shall forfeit rights\nand benefits earned after September 16, 1993, under the state administered\nretirement plan to which contributions have been made as a result of his service in\nthe General Assembly, except for the return of his accumulated contributions and\ninterest credited on those contributions.\n(2) The payment of retirement benefits ordered forfeited  shall be stayed pending any\nappeal of the conviction.
